The Ohio Attorney General's office has moved to drop its lawsuit in Fairfield County Common Pleas Court that went after the city of Columbus for gun restrictions it approved in 2022. But the city's gun laws are still on hold because of a lawsuit pending in Delaware County after a judge there issued a preliminary injunction in April preventing the city from enforcing the new laws. The lawsuit there was filed by the right-leaning Buckeye Institute . Parts of Columbus sit in Delaware and Fairfield counties.
