A Powell city councilman and former mayor was appointed Wednesday afternoon to fill the remaining term of Ohio Rep. Kris Jordan of Delaware County, who died in February at age 46. Brian Lorenz was appointed in a ceremony at the Ohio Statehouse after a unanimous vote by Republican members of the Ohio House of Representatives. Lorenz, 50, had served on Powell City Council for the Delaware County suburb since 2010 and his current term ends in 2025. He served as mayor in 2016-2017. Lorenz and his wife, Sue, have a son, Henry, and triplet girls, Annie, Betsy, and Charlotte.
